Malam Idris Abdullahi Musa was on Tuesday, 13 June 2023, re-elected Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association for a second term during the elective Congress held at the Pisio Hotel, Kaiama Local Government in Kwara State.
Malam Idris polled 19 votes ahead of the second candidate Engr Abdullateef Olaide Ahmed who had four from a total of 23 votes from 23 delegates to win the election.
Vice Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Bashorun Kayode Bankole also returned unopposed for a second stint alongside Hajia Segilola Alaya, the only female board member of the association together with Adeshina Bello, Wasiu Lawal, Tunde Sanni, Manzuma Maliki, Abubakar Ahmed and Salaudeen Jimoh.
The Electoral Committee was led by Retired Referee/Assessor, Emmanuel Dada Obafemi and supervised under the auspices of the Nigeria Football Federation representative, Alhaji Mohammed Aminu.
Recall that Malam Idris won his first mandate on the same date 13th of June in 2019 and will now look to consolidate and improve on his on first term achievement.
