As the build up to the 2024 Ondo Auto Rally intensifies, ace motorsport promoter and President, Work n Play NG, Adeoye Ojuoko has assured armchair enthusiasts that this year’s edition will take a new leap with the introduction of X-chart series to go together with the regular car race and bike races.
Mr Adey, explained that the newly introduced X-Chart series, which will debut this year, will be the second of a five prong series which started in shagamu this year, adding that the circuit and tracks in Ilara have been fully optimized, structured and designed to accommodate the X-chart and racers across the country from Lagos, Kano, Abuja, Kwara, Osun, Kebbi, Rivers, Oyo, Edo and Enugu.
Other key activities to feature in this year’s edition includes drifting, food exhibitions, vintage car exhibitions, bike race, live shows and music.
The ondo auto rally gets underway from the 29-30 March, in Illara Mokin, Ondo state which has the first off road track in nigeria and hosted about three off road races over the years since the competition started.
It serves as a major boost for tourism attraction and has always drawn the attention of the state government with former governor, Late Arankurin Rotimi Akeredolu flagging off past on road races.
