Zambia footballer Racheal Kundananji has become the world’s most expensive women’s player six years after making her debut for Zambia National team.
This follows her new deal with Bay FC of the American National Women’s Soccer League worth $860,000, as she put pen to paper from Madrid CFF.
She became the first African female player, to break a world transfer record, upstaging the previous female record of £400,000 in a deal between Keira Walsh and Barcelona in 2022.
She rose to prominence in 2018 scoring three goals for Zambia at that Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. She equally scored 33 Liga goals in 43 games during her 18 months spell with Madrid.
She’s expected to team up with Nigerian star Asisat Oshoala, the six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year.
