Dr. Usman Oladipo Akanbi, National president of the Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA), has welcome muslim faithfuls to the holy and sacred month of Ramadan.
The president extended his warm greetings and described the month of Ramadan as one with intense spiritual activity, devotion, a time of self-reflection, self-discipline, a period of generosity and compassion.
He opined that at a period the nation is currently faced with economic hardship, as sad as this reality is, Nigerians must not lose hope and despair while remembering that Ramadan itself teaches abstinence and perseverance.
While calling on Muslims to use the period to pray for the Nation to heal fast from its economic woes, he urge all comfortable Nigerians to remember the vulnerable and downtrodden in this period and in their own capacity, extend a hand of love and support which would assist in emerging stronger by maintaining the spirit of brotherhood.
” On behalf of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), the foremost and apex body of creative writers in Nigeria, I wish everyone a Ramadan full of pleasant blessings.
Ramadan Mubarak” He concluded.
