Blessed is the name of Allah, the Lord of Glory, Honor, and Bounty.
I join all members of the esteemed Mustapha Akanbi Oniyo family and all your well-wishers to thank Allah for His manifest blessings on you thus far, and we pray that Allah’s Rahama, Baraka, and Shekina will continue to be multiplied on you and your household.
As you celebrate a landmark 60th birthday, I write you with fond memories, hope, excitement, and optimism of how almighty Allah has been merciful and gracious to you.
It is a tremendous journey that has illuminated our struggles and sacrifices over the years to see us where we are today, and I am indeed proud to be associated with you. You’re a humanist per excellence, a detribalized Nigerian, a patriotic citizen, a devoted servant of Allah, and a selfless individual who is forthright and an advocate of Community development. You are indeed a personification of “WE BEFORE ME” aphorism.
Rufai, you’re a brother with a tireless approach to the excellent course and a believer in service to Almighty Allah and Humanity – a course you’ve undertaken with dignity for your families, kwarans and anybody who has had the privilege to have encountered you through your profession and career in applaudable fashion.
It is pertinent to note that while I was processing life through its phases, I must confess that you’ve shown that the most worthy service is done for the good of fellow human beings for no personal gains. I want to commend you for not only exhibiting such traits but also for having an antecedent of firmness, integrity of character, principles for justice & fairness, and a proud record of advisory roles to leaders, institutions, and governments – an essential quality of a great lawyer.
It is in my prayers that Almighty Allah continues to bestow and reward you and your families with abundant grace, long life, good health, and more wisdom with extraordinary exploits.
Once again, I wish you a happy sixtieth (60th) birthday celebration as we set ourselves for Eid fitr.
