The United Kingdom has made a proposal to compensate people whose asylum was rejected with a fee of £3,000 and an offer to live in Rwanda.
It has a plan to enjoined asylum seekers to return to their home countries with a pay offer however the new developments is aimed at people who are unable to return to their countries of origin.
The cash proposal and move to Rwanda is a measure by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s idea to curb irregular migration but doesn’t negates deportation of illegal immigrants to Rwanda, which was rejected by courts amidst safety concerns which prompted the rwanda government to introduced a bill declaring the east Africa country safe.
The bill encountered a slight setback following the House of Lords movement of five bills, which would make it harder for the House of Commons to declare Rwanda safe and would need the government to comply with domestic and international law.
It will also ensure judges recognise Rwanda as a safe country, giving ministers the power to disregard parts of the Human Rights Act.
The country capital, Kigali has received in the excess of $300 million from the UK for accepting deportees but uptill date, no deportation flights have moved after the Aprill 2022 deal despite which several court cases and international interventions.
