Over hundreds of crowds gave hostility to Presidential candidate Bassirou Diomaye Faye and his mentor Ousmane Sonko in the southwest Senegalese region of Casamance over the weekend.
The duo return after two months in prison as Diomaye promises to make Ziguinchor a major economic centre and the town of Sedhiou a cultural capital.
Casamance, poorest region in Senegal, shielded from citizen because of hostility to opposition forces, remains Senegal economic powerhouse but its young population remains unemployed.
The younger population are ready to throw their weight behind, Bassirou Diomaye Faye as they seek to see Ziguinchor reinvented like Dakar.
